Our Team
The abide team is a living network of people who
want to abide and teach others to abide. Though Abide Brazil already
has paid staff running our offices in São José dos
Campos, the goal has always been a network of abiding partners,
churches and ministries and not a large, visible, expensive operation.
For the abide ministry to become a viable international ministry,
less structure means more reach. Simplicity is good!
The
Abide message and the Abide experience is best communicated and
learned in relationship and dialog over time. For this reason Bud
and Pam are committed to networking local church partnerships,
ministry partnerships and individual partnerships as God puts them
together for as long as He chooses.
In its first two years of existence Abide Brazil has seen a steady
growth in these relational partnerships. Four key partnerships
are currently in place and sustaining the ministry.
First is our partnership with other abiding Christians and with
local churches who support us monthly in vision, prayer and finances.
These partners have been the key to the ministry being able to
take root and thrive in its early years.
Second is our partnership with the International Bible Baptist
Church in Miami, Florida led by pastor Russell Johnson. IBB Miami
is not only our sending church, they are 100% engaged in the Abiding
life and dialog with us. They, too, support us in every way including
being our link to the Spanish speaking world. (www.ibbmiami.org)
Third is our partnership with the Primeira Igreja Batista em São
José dos Campos (1st Baptist of Sao Jose dos Campos). This
is our Brazilian home church and our living laboratory for the
abide message. They provide us with a fulltime secretary and free
office space. They are also generous with their nationwide credibility.

Fourth is our newest partnership with Acampamento Ebenezer (Ebenezer
Camp) in the mountain city of Campos do Jordão. We have
entered into a five year agreement for space at the camp where
the new Abide Training Center is ready to open in August 2007.
