1. To ABIDE is to live and enjoy a barrier-free relationship
with the true Vine, Jesus Christ.
2. ABIDING SATISFACTION in God
is available constantly for every branch in the Vine. To bear fruit
and glorify God, every branch must be receiving this satisfaction
from Jesus 24 hours a day and seven days a week and in every circumstance
of life.
3. The ABIDING Christian life is not complicated.
It is as SIMPLE as the powerful, abiding presence of Jesus. In
the VINE every Christian has God’s guarantee
of spiritual formation, health, joy and fruit.
4. Every church can be completely
healthy, bear much fruit and be a vineyard full of loving, abiding
branches bearing much fruit to God’s glory.
5. There is absolutely
nothing the abiding presence of Jesus in our lives cannot overcome.
6.
God is calling individuals and churches to live the life of Jesus.
This is more than imitating the life of Jesus. It is living the
life that comes constantly from the Vine. Only in so living can
we live the life Jesus described in the Sermon on the Mount and
in all of His teachings.
7. Every branch in the Vine should seek
the full perfection of Jesus’ life
flowing into theirs so that our great God-the Vinedresser- may freely distribute
the fruit of that life to the world.
8. There exist spiritual habits or disciplines
that allow us to receive all the satisfaction the Vine is willing
to give. Every believer and every church must pursue these disciplines
to find satisfaction and bear much fruit.
